{"id":18001,"date":"2023-12-10T07:16:15","date_gmt":"2023-12-10T01:46:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=18001"},"modified":"2025-04-05T08:02:36","modified_gmt":"2025-04-05T02:32:36","slug":"cisce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/cisce\/","title":{"rendered":"Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE)<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>CISCE is a\u00a0privately held national-level board of school education\u00a0in India that\u00a0Supervises and controls the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE).<\/li>\n<li>It was established in 1958.\u00a0Over 2,100 schools in India and abroad are\u00a0affiliated to the CISCE.<\/li>\n<li>It has been designed to\u00a0deliver an examination\u00a0in the course of general education through the medium of English, in\u00a0accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986.<\/li>\n<li>CISCE conducts three examinations, namely, the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE \u2013Class X); The\u00a0Indian School Certificate (ISC &#8211; Class XII) and the\u00a0Certificate in Vocational Education (CVE &#8211; Year 12).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The subject choices and syllabuses prescribed for these examinations\u00a0are varied and aimed at nurturing the unique gifts of individual pupils<\/li>\n<li>CISCE\u00a0approves English as the medium\u00a0of instruction.<\/li>\n<li>It does not allow a private student to appear for the exam, which has not been studying in ICSE affiliated school.<\/li>\n<li>The Council has been so\u00a0constituted as to secure suitable representation of: Government of India, State Governments\/Union Territories in which there are Schools affiliated to the Council, the\u00a0Inter-State Board for Anglo Indian Education, the Association of Indian Universities, the Association of Heads of Anglo-Indian Schools, the Indian Public Schools\u2019 Conference, the Association of Schools for the ISC Examination and members co-opted by the Executive Committee of the Council.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)?<\/h3>\n<p>It is a national-level educational board for both public and private schools in India. CBSE is under the direct supervision of the Indian government. Every year, CBSE also holds its national board examinations for students in classes 10th and 12th.
