


{"id":18022,"date":"2023-12-11T07:20:45","date_gmt":"2023-12-11T01:50:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=18022"},"modified":"2025-04-05T08:10:09","modified_gmt":"2025-04-05T02:40:09","slug":"yuvai-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/yuvai-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"YUVAi Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About YUVAi Initiative<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a collaborative initiative of\u00a0National e-Governance Division\u00a0(NeGD), Ministry of Electronics &amp; Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India and Intel India.<\/li>\n<li>This programme, designed to equip the\u00a0youth with essential Artificial Intelligence skills, has garnered attention for its innovative approach and commitment to enabling a future-ready workforce.<\/li>\n<li>It is aimed to foster a deeper understanding of AI, to enable school\u00a0students from class 8 to 12 across the nation\u00a0with AI skills and empower them to become human-centric designers and users of AI.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Key Updates and Features of YUVAi Programme:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Progressing in\u00a0three phases, the YUVAi programme is being implemented in multiple cohorts to ensure that maximum students stand a chance to become future-ready. It introduces students to several social themes to direct their AI knowledge towards solving real-world problems.<\/li>\n<li>In the\u00a0first Cohort, more than 8,500 students registered, post which, they attended online orientation sessions to learn fundamental concepts of AI. Teachers also enrolled into the program and underwent orientation sessions. Students then submitted innovative AI-based ideas under one of the eight core themes of the programme.<\/li>\n<li>In\u00a0phase 2, Top 200 AI-based ideas were shortlisted. Shortlisted students attended\u00a0online deep dive AI training and mentorship sessions with certified Intel AI coaches and experts \u2013 helping students enhance their solutions. Students then submitted their AI projects to be evaluated for Phase 3.<\/li>\n<li>In\u00a0Phase 3, top 50 students were shortlisted and they were invited to attend a four-day\u00a0face-to-face rapid modeling workshop \u2013 receiving one-on-one mentorship, apprenticeship and guidance from industry experts to fine-tune their projects and develop them into prototypes.<\/li>\n<li>An on-spot project presentation was conducted by a multiple jury panel to shortlist Top 10 students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence?<\/h3>\n<p>It is a multi-stakeholder initiative which aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice on AI by supporting cutting-edge research and applied activities on AI-related priorities.It was launched in June 2020.
