{"id":18034,"date":"2026-08-14T11:08:23","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T05:38:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=18034"},"modified":"2026-08-14T14:13:47","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T08:43:47","slug":"pm-vishwakarma-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/pm-vishwakarma-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"PM Vishwakarma Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>PM Vishwakarma Scheme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Government of India has invited 100 beneficiaries of PM Vishwakarma from the Delhi-NCR region as \u2018Special Guests\u2019 to witness the 80th Independence Day Ceremony at the Red Fort, Delhi.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About PM Vishwakarma Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>central sector scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> launched <\/span><b>in 2023.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is aimed at providing comprehensive support <\/span><b>to artisans and craftspeople engaged in traditional trades.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Objective:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Promoting the <\/span><b>socio-economic empowerment of artisans<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, strengthening traditional crafts and ensuring sustainable livelihoods.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scheme provides assistance through <\/span><b>skill upgradation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>modern tools, financial support, digital enablement and market linkages.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Nodal Ministry:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Time period:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Five years (FY 2023-24 to FY 2027-28).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Eligibility &amp; coverage<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is available for <\/span><b>rural and urban artisans<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and craftsmen across India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It covers <\/span><b>18 traditional crafts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> such as Boat Maker;
