{"id":18066,"date":"2024-11-06T07:02:28","date_gmt":"2024-11-06T01:32:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=18066"},"modified":"2025-04-05T08:27:50","modified_gmt":"2025-04-05T02:57:50","slug":"exercise-vinbax-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/exercise-vinbax-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise VINBAX-2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Exercise VINBAX 2024:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a<strong>\u00a0bilateral army exercise\u00a0<\/strong>conducted<strong>\u00a0between India and Vietnam.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>This edition marks a significant increase in the scope with\u00a0<strong>Bi Service level participation<\/strong>\u00a0for the first time by personnel of\u00a0<strong>Army and Air Force from both the countries.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The Indian Army contingent comprising 47 personnel is being represented by a\u00a0<strong>Regiment of the Corps of Engineers<\/strong>\u00a0along with personnel from other arms and services.<\/li>\n<li>The aim of VINBAX-2024 is to enhance\u00a0<strong>joint military capability<\/strong>\u00a0of both sides in employment and deployment of\u00a0<strong>Engineer Company and Medical Teams<\/strong>\u00a0to undertake engineering tasks as part of\u00a0<strong>United Nation Contingent in Peace Keeping Operations<\/strong>\u00a0under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter.<\/li>\n<li>The conduct of VINBAX-2024 as a field training exercise with enhanced scope from previous editions of bilateral exercise will strengthen mutual confidence, interoperability and enable sharing of best practices between the Indian Army and Vietnam People\u2019s Army.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>A 48 hours Validation Exercise with\u00a0<strong>Humanitarian Assistance &amp; Disaster Relief demonstration<\/strong>\u00a0and equipment display is also part of the schedule to assess the standards achieved by both contingents<\/li>\n<li>The joint exercise will also provide an opportunity to the troops of both the Contingents to learn about the social and cultural heritages of each other.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>\u00a0Q1) What does UN peacekeeping do?<\/h3>\n<p>UN peacekeepers provide security and political and peacebuilding support to help countries make the difficult, early transition from conflict to peace.
