However, nowadays, sandalwood and mango wood are also used.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>They are also\u00a0painted in organic colours\u00a0extracted from vegetables and plants\u00a0and natural dyes, making the Channapatna Toys\u00a0100% chemical-free.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Their shapes are\u00a0mostly round and cubes\u00a0with blunt edges, so they are completely\u00a0safe for kids.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>They received the\u00a0geographical indication (GI) tag in 2005.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is the geographical indication (GI) tag?<\/h3>\n<p>It is a sign used on products that have a specific geographical origin and possess qualities or a reputation that are due to that origin. This is typically used for agricultural products, foodstuffs, wine and spirit drinks, handicrafts and industrial products. The Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999 seeks to provide for the registration and better protection of geographical indications relating to goods in India.
