{"id":18410,"date":"2025-09-11T11:31:04","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T06:01:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=18410"},"modified":"2025-09-11T13:24:47","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T07:54:47","slug":"ncel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/ncel\/","title":{"rendered":"National Cooperative Exports Limited"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>National Co-operative Exports Limited<\/b> <b>Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the National Co-operative Exports Limited (NCEL) and the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which is aimed at elevating India\u2019s cooperative-led agricultural export.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About National Co-operative Exports Limited<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is set up by the Ministry of Cooperation under the <\/span><b>Multi-State Cooperative Societies (MSCS) Act, 2002.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an umbrella organization to give thrust <\/span><b>to exports from the cooperative sector.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It aims to enhance the <\/span><b>global competitiveness of cooperative-produced<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> goods and services.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Promoters of NCEL:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Major cooperative institutions namely; <\/span><b>AMUL<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (GCMMF), <\/span><b>IFFCO, KRIBHCO, NAFED, and NCDC.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Member eligibility: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All cooperative societies from the level of <\/span><b>primary to apex<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that are interested in exports are eligible to become members.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Headquarters:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> New Delhi, India.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Functions of National Co-operative Exports Limited<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It promotes exports through various activities including <\/span><b>procurement, storage, processing, marketing, branding, labelling, packaging,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> certification, research &amp; development, and trading of all types of goods and services produced by cooperative societies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also helps in <\/span><b>arranging finance, provide technical guidance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, help in training and capacity building, develop and maintain market intelligence systems.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It focuses on exporting the surpluses available in the Indian cooperative sector by accessing wider markets beyond the geographical contours of the country.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleseDetailm.aspx?PRID=2165054\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PIB<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National Cooperative Exports Limited was set up by the Ministry of Cooperation under the Multi-State Cooperative Societies (MSCS) Act, 2002.
