{"id":18418,"date":"2026-02-26T11:00:01","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T05:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=18418"},"modified":"2026-02-27T14:01:29","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T08:31:29","slug":"ramp-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/ramp-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"RAMP Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>RAMP Programme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India organised the fifth meeting of the National MSME Council to review progress of World Bank\u2013Supported RAMP Programme in New Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About RAMP Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Raising &amp; Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) programme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was launched in 2022.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims at improving <\/span><b>access to market and credit<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, strengthening <\/span><b>institutions and governance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the Centre and State, improving Centre-State linkages and partnerships, addressing issues of delayed payments and greening of MSMEs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is assisted by the <\/span><b>World Bank.<\/b><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objectives of RAMP Programme<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Improving access to market and credit for MSMEs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strengthening institutions and governance at the central and state levels<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Improving center-state linkages and partnerships<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Addressing issues of delayed payments<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Greening of MSMEs<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>National MSME Council<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has been set up by the Ministry to work as an administrative and functional body of the RAMP Programme.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is implemented by the <\/span><b>Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (MoMSME) over the <\/span><b>five year period 2022-23 to 2026-27.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It <\/span><b>provides grants<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to States for preparation of <\/span><b>Strategic Investment Plan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SIP).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Sub schemes under RAMP<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>MSME GIFT Scheme:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> MSME <\/span><b>Green Investment and Financing for Transformation Scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> intends to help MSMEs adopt green technology with interest subvention and credit guarantee support.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>MSE SPICE Scheme:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The MSE <\/span><b>Scheme for Promotion and Investment in Circular Economy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> aims to <\/span><b>support circular economy projects<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which will be done through credit subsidy and will lead to realising the dream of MSME sector towards zero emissions by 2070.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>MSE ODR Scheme:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The MSE Scheme on <\/span><b>Online Dispute Resolution for Delayed Payments<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a first of its kind scheme to synergise legal support with modern IT tools and Artificial Intelligence to address the incidences of delayed payments for Micro and Small Enterprises.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2232474&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RAMP Programme was launched in 2022 which aims at improving access to market and credit and greening of MSMEs.
