PM-AJAY scheme.<\/p>\n<h2>About PM-AJAY Scheme<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojana<\/strong> (PM- AJAY) is a 100% Centrally Sponsored Scheme.<\/li>\n<li>It is aimed at <strong>reducing poverty among the SC communities<\/strong> through various initiatives like the generation of additional employment and improving socio-economic indicators in SC dominated villages.<\/li>\n<li>It is a merged scheme of three Centrally Sponsored Schemes, namely <strong>Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana<\/strong> (PMAGY), <strong>Special Central Assistance to Scheduled Castes<\/strong> Sub Plan (SCA to SCSP), and <strong>Babu Jagjivan Ram Chhatrawas Yojana<\/strong> (BJRCY).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Objectives of PM-AJAY Scheme<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>To <strong>increase the income of the target population<\/strong> by way of various income generating schemes, skill development and infrastructure development.<\/li>\n<li>To <strong>reduce the poverty among<\/strong> the target population and bring them above the poverty lines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Eligibility Criteria of PM-AJAY Scheme<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The Scheduled Castes persons <strong>living below the poverty<\/strong> lines are eligible for getting benefits under this scheme.<\/li>\n<li>In case of Infrastructure Development, the villages <strong>having 50% or more SC<\/strong> population are eligible for grants under the Scheme.<\/li>\n<li>It is being <strong>implemented since 2021-22<\/strong> as three components, which are as under:-<\/li>\n<li><strong>Development of SC dominated villages<\/strong> into an \u2018Adarsh Gram\u2019 component<\/li>\n<li>Grants-in-aid for District\/State-level Projects for socio-economic betterment of SCs\u2019 component<\/li>\n<li><strong>Construction of Hostels<\/strong> in <strong>Higher Educational Institutions\u2019<\/strong> component<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>PM-AJAY Scheme
