{"id":18602,"date":"2023-12-25T11:06:09","date_gmt":"2023-12-25T05:36:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=18602"},"modified":"2025-04-05T11:56:30","modified_gmt":"2025-04-05T06:26:30","slug":"anganwadi-cum-creches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/anganwadi-cum-creches\/","title":{"rendered":"National Programme on Anganwadi-cum-Cr\u00e8ches"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About National Programme on Anganwadi-cum-Cr\u00e8ches\u00a0<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The Anganwadi-Cum- Cr\u00e8che initiative under the\u00a0Palna Scheme underwent revisions and was included as part of the\u00a0Samarthya sub-component of Mission Shakti, starting from April 2022.<\/li>\n<li>The central aim of Anganwadi-cum- Cr\u00e8ches is to meet the demand for\u00a0quality childcare facilities\u00a0and enable women to actively participate in the workforce.<\/li>\n<li>The Government of India aims to set up 17,000 creches across the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Key points about Palna Scheme<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The erstwhile\u00a0National Creche Scheme\u00a0has been reorganized and renamed as Palna Scheme under the sub scheme \u2018Samarthya\u2019 of \u2018Mission Shakti\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Objectives\n<ul>\n<li>To provide\u00a0day-care facilities for children (6 months to 6 years) of working mothers in the community.<\/li>\n<li>To improve nutrition and health status of children.<\/li>\n<li>To promote physical, cognitive, social and emotional development (Holistic Development) of children.<\/li>\n<li>To educate and empower parents \/caregivers for better childcare.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Services:\u00a0The scheme will provide an integrated package of the following services:\n<ul>\n<li>Daycare Facilities including Sleeping Facilities.<\/li>\n<li>Early Stimulation for children below 3 years and Pre-school Education for 3 to 6 years old children.<\/li>\n<li>Supplementary Nutrition(to be locally sourced)<\/li>\n<li>Growth Monitoring.<\/li>\n<li>Health Check-up and Immunization.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Target group:\u00a0The scheme focuses on children\u00a0of 6 months to 6 years, of working\u00a0women in rural and urban areas who are employed for a\u00a0minimum period of 15 days in a month, or six months in a year.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What is a cr\u00e8che?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>A cr\u00e8che is a facility which enables parents to leave their children while they are at work and where children are provided a stimulating environment for their holistic development.<\/li>\n<li>Cr\u00e8ches are designed to provide group care to children, usually up to 6 years of age, who need care, guidance and supervision away from their home during the day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is Mission Shakti?<\/h3>\n<p>It is a scheme in mission mode aimed at strengthening interventions for women safety, security and empowerment.
