{"id":19085,"date":"2025-09-10T09:49:46","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T04:19:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=19085"},"modified":"2025-09-10T15:00:02","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T09:30:02","slug":"i-dex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/i-dex\/","title":{"rendered":"Innovations for Defence Excellence"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Innovations for Defence Excellence Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Innovations for Defence Excellence &#8211; Defence Innovation Organisation has inked an MoU with EdCIL (India) Limited to foster the development of dual-use cutting-edge technologies , driven by the new ASPIRE (Accelerating Strategic Progress in Research and Education) program.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About <\/b><b>Innovations for Defence Excellence<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the <\/span><b>flagship initiative <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">launched in 2018 by <\/span><b>the Ministry of Defence<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Govt of India<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objective:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The objective of the scheme is to <\/span><b>cultivate an innovation ecosystem<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the Defence and <\/span><b>Aerospace sector<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by collaborating with <\/span><b>startups, innovators, MSMEs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, incubators, and academia.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Funding:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It will be funded and managed by a \u2018<\/span><b>Defence Innovation Organization<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (DIO)\u2019<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Defence Innovation Organization<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has been formed as a <\/span><b>\u2018not for profit\u2019 company<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as per the <\/span><b>Companies Act 2013<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for this purpose, by the two founder members.
