{"id":19973,"date":"2024-02-01T12:01:05","date_gmt":"2024-02-01T06:31:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=19973"},"modified":"2025-04-05T21:11:27","modified_gmt":"2025-04-05T15:41:27","slug":"oscs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/oscs\/","title":{"rendered":"One Stop Centre scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About One Stop Centre scheme<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00b7 It is a\u00a0Centrally Sponsored Scheme formulated under the union\u00a0Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD).<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 Objectives\n<ul>\n<li>o To provide integrated\u00a0support and assistance to women\u00a0affected by violence, both in private and public spaces under one roof.<\/li>\n<li>o To facilitate immediate, emergency and non-emergency access to a range of services including medical, legal, psychological and counselling support under one roof to fight against any forms of violence against women.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 Target group\n<ul>\n<li>o It supports all women\u00a0including girls below 18 years of age affected by violence, irrespective of caste, class, religion, region, sexual orientation or marital status.<\/li>\n<li>o For girls below 18 years of age, institutions and authorities established under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000 and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 linked with the OSC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 Funding: The Scheme will be\u00a0funded through Nirbhaya Fund. The Central Government will provide 100% financial assistance under the Scheme.<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 Administration: The day to day implementation and administrative matters would be the responsibility of the\u00a0District Collector\/District Magistrate.<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 The OSC will\u00a0facilitate access to: Emergency Response and Rescue Services, Medical assistance, assistance to women in lodging FIR\/ NCR\/DIR, psycho-social support\/ counseling, legal aid and counseling, shelter and Video Conferencing Facility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is the Nirbhaya Fund\u2019 ?<\/h3>\n<p>The Government of India had set up a dedicated fund called \u2018Nirbhaya Fund\u2019 for implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing the safety and security for women in the country.
