Instead of stinging, stingless bees <\/span><b>use their mandibles to bite their attackers.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stingless bees are among the <\/span><b>planet\u2019s oldest pollinators<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with a remarkable concentration of species in the Amazon rainforest.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Distribution:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> They are found in <\/span><b>tropical regions across the world<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and about half of the 500 known species live in the Amazon.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Africa, Australia, Southeast Asia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and parts of the Americas are the main areas where the stingless bee is found.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>In India,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> these bees are reported primarily <\/span><b>from the northeastern, eastern, and southern Indian States.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Benefits:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Stingless bees can be <\/span><b>used for pollination<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> without fear of being stung.
