{"id":20283,"date":"2024-02-09T05:18:20","date_gmt":"2024-02-08T23:48:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=20283"},"modified":"2025-04-06T00:18:46","modified_gmt":"2025-04-05T18:48:46","slug":"aadi-mahotsav","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/aadi-mahotsav\/","title":{"rendered":"Aadi Mahotsav"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About Aadi Mahotsav<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is organized by\u00a0Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED)\u00a0under the aegis of\u00a0the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, will showcase the rich diversity of India&#8217;s tribal heritage.<\/li>\n<li>It is not only a platform to exhibit the extraordinary talent and craftsmanship of tribal artisans but also an opportunity to interact, learn, and contribute to the empowerment of tribal communities.<\/li>\n<li>The festival will feature an expanded showcase with over 300 stalls, offering varied display of Tribal art, handicrafts, natural produce, and delectable tribal cuisine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What is TRIFED?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a national-level organisation under the\u00a0Ministry of Tribal Affairs.<\/li>\n<li>It is primarily engaged in\u00a0the development and marketing of\u00a0tribal handicrafts and natural products.<\/li>\n<li>It came into existence in 1987 and got registered under the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 1984 (now the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002).<\/li>\n<li>Mandate: Capability enhancement for Tribals, promotion of tribal products, and creation of marketing opportunities for the Tribals with a view to ensuring remunerative prices for their products and augmenting their income on a sustainable basis.<\/li>\n<li>It has been entrusted by the Government of India to implement its proposed Minimum Support Price Scheme for Minor Forest Produce.<\/li>\n<li>Head Office: New Delhi<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is the function of the Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry?<\/h3>\n<p>The Ministry of Social Justice &amp; Empowerment is entrusted with the welfare, social Justice and empowerment of disadvantaged and marginalized sections of the society viz.
