The implications of these are:\n<ul>\n<li>Freedom of conscience: Inner\u00a0freedom of an individual to mould his relation with God or Creatures in whatever way he desires.<\/li>\n<li>Right to profess:\u00a0Declaration of one\u2019s\u00a0religious\u00a0beliefs and faith openly and freely.<\/li>\n<li>Right to practice:\u00a0Performance of religious worship, rituals, ceremonies, and exhibition of beliefs and ideas.<\/li>\n<li>Right to propagate: Transmission and dissemination\u00a0of one\u2019s\u00a0religious beliefs to others\u00a0or exposition of the tenets of one\u2019s religion. But it\u00a0does not include the right to convert another person to one\u2019s own religion. Forcible conversions impinge on the \u2018freedom of conscience\u2019 guaranteed to all the persons alike.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Thus, Article 25\u00a0covers not only religious beliefs (doctrines)\u00a0but also religious practices (rituals).<\/li>\n<li>Moreover, these rights are\u00a0available to all persons\u2013citizens as well as non-citizens.<\/li>\n<li>However, these rights are\u00a0subject to public order, morality, health,\u00a0and other\u00a0provisions relating to fundamental rights.<\/li>\n<li>Further,\u00a0nothing in this article shall affect the operation of any existing law or\u00a0prevent the State from making any law to\n<ul>\n<li>regulate or restrict\u00a0any\u00a0economic, financial, political, or other\u00a0secular activity\u00a0associated\u00a0with religious practice;<\/li>\n<li>provide for social welfare and\u00a0reform, or throw open Hindu religious institutions of a public character\u00a0to all classes and sections of Hindus;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Article 25 also contains\u00a0two explanations: one, the\u00a0wearing and carrying of kirpans is to be\u00a0included in the profession of the Sikh religion; and\u00a0two, the Hindus, in this context,\u00a0include Sikhs, Jains, and Buddhists.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is Article 26 of the Indian Constitution?<\/h3>\n<p>Article 26 of the Indian Constitution, under Part III that deals with fundamental rights, addresses the right to manage religious affairs. It grants freedom to every religious denomination or any section thereof, subject to public order, morality, and health, to manage its religious affairs.
