It\u00a0aims to reduce logistics costs,\u00a0improve India\u2019s ranking in the Logistics Performance Index, and\u00a0establish a data-driven decision support mechanism.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0PM Gati Shakti Programme aims to\u00a0understand current gaps in logistics connectivity and facilitate the\u00a0development of logistics infrastructure (creating connectivity between roadways, rail transport, waterways, and air transport) so as to\u00a0reduce logistics costs. The programme has an\u00a0estimated cost of \u20b9100 trillion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>LEAPS will\u00a0create a new benchmark\u00a0globally by\u00a0not only recognizing players in the\u00a0logistics sector, but also the MSMEs, Startups, and logistics sector enablers who have been providing innovative solutions across the logistics ecosystem.<\/li>\n<li>From air and sea freight service providers to educational institutions contributing to skill development in logistics, the awards\u00a0span a broad spectrum of the industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is the Logistics Performance Index?<\/h3>\n<p>It is released by World Bank. It is an interactive benchmarking tool created to help countries identify the challenges and opportunities they face in their performance on trade logistics and what they can do to improve their performance.
