{"id":21447,"date":"2024-03-13T03:50:23","date_gmt":"2024-03-12T22:20:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=21447"},"modified":"2025-04-06T12:17:45","modified_gmt":"2025-04-06T06:47:45","slug":"exercise-bharat-shakti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/exercise-bharat-shakti\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise &#8216;Bharat Shakti&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About Exercise &#8216;Bharat Shakti&#8217;<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is an\u00a0integrated tri-service\u00a0firepower and manoeuvre exercise,\u00a0showcasing the prowess of\u00a0indigenously manufactured defence equipment across the\u00a0three services.<\/li>\n<li>Location: Pokhran, Rajasthan.<\/li>\n<li>The exercise involves the showcasing of the\u00a0calibrated tactical employment of niche technology in a tri-services environment against perceived threats.<\/li>\n<li>The exercise displays an array of\u00a0indigenous weapon systems and platforms as a demonstration of the prowess of the country, premised on the nation&#8217;s\u00a0Aatmanirbharata initiative.<\/li>\n<li>It will also\u00a0simulate realistic, synergised, multi-domain operations displaying the integrated operational capabilities of the Indian armed forces to counter threats across land, air, sea, cyber, and space domains.<\/li>\n<li>It\u00a0features indigenous weapon systems: T-90 (IM) Tanks, Dhanush and Sarang Gun Systems,\u00a0Akash Weapons System, Logistics Drones, Robotic Mules, ALH, and various unmanned aerial vehicles from the Indian Army showcasing the advanced ground warfare and aerial surveillance capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>The Indian Navy displays\u00a0Naval Anti-Ship Missiles, Autonomous Cargo Carrying Aerial Vehicles, and Expendable Aerial Targets.<\/li>\n<li>The Indian Air Force showcases indigenous aircraft:\u00a0Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, Light Utility Helicopters, and\u00a0Advanced Light Helicopters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What is the Akash Weapons System?<\/h3>\n<p>AKASH is a Short Range Surface to Air Missile System to protect vulnerable areas and points from air attacks. Akash Weapon System (AWS) can simultaneously engage Multiple Targets in Group Mode or Autonomous Mode. It has built-in Electronic Counter-Counter Measures (ECCM) features.
