The State of Punjab<\/strong> (November 02, 2001) case, the Delhi High Court listed certain scenarios where interim bail should be granted which are as follows:<\/li>\n<li>No likelihood of the accused fleeing from justice,<\/li>\n<li>No chance of tampering with the evidence,<\/li>\n<li>A clear case for <strong>custodial interrogation is not made out,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The application for a grant of anticipatory bail cannot be heard at an early date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Some common grounds:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>In case the accused has a <strong>serious medical condition<\/strong> requiring urgent or specialized treatment.<\/li>\n<li>After considering the <strong>humanitarian factors<\/strong> such as familial responsibilities, age, health of the family members.<\/li>\n<li>If the <strong>investigation is taking an unreasonable amount of time<\/strong> despite his cooperation with authorities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Related Case Laws:\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Lal Kamlendra Pratap Singh vs. State of U.P.&amp; Ors (March, 2009)<\/li>\n<li>Sukhwant Singh vs. State of Punjab (May, 2009)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Arvind Kejriwal interim bail: Supreme Court rejects 7-day extension plea<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1: What is anticipatory bail?<\/h3>\n<p>What is an anticipatory bail? It is the bail granted to a person in anticipation and apprehending arrest.
