{"id":21779,"date":"2024-03-22T09:23:37","date_gmt":"2024-03-22T03:53:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=21779"},"modified":"2025-04-06T15:17:09","modified_gmt":"2025-04-06T09:47:09","slug":"imt-trilateral-exercise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/imt-trilateral-exercise\/","title":{"rendered":"IMT Trilateral Exercise"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About IMT Trilateral Exercise<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a\u00a0joint maritime exercise scheduled from 21-29 Mar 24.<\/li>\n<li>The first edition of IMT TRILAT exercise conducted in Oct 22, saw participation of INS Tarkash with the Tanzanian and Mozambique Navies.<\/li>\n<li>The current edition of the exercise\u00a0is planned in two phases. As part of the harbour phase scheduled from 21-24 Mar 24, Naval ships Tir and Sujata will engage with the respective Navies at the\u00a0ports of Zanzibar (Tanzania) and\u00a0Maputo (Mozambique).<\/li>\n<li>This phase would begin with a Planning Conference followed by conduct of\u00a0joint harbour training activities\u00a0like Damage Control, Fire Fighting, Visit Board Search and Seizure procedures, Medical Lectures, Casualty Evacuation and Diving operations.<\/li>\n<li>The sea phase of the exercise covers practical aspects of countering asymmetric threats, Visit Board Search and Seizure procedures, boat handling, manoeuvres and firing exercise.
