{"id":21906,"date":"2024-03-27T01:24:15","date_gmt":"2024-03-26T19:54:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=21906"},"modified":"2025-10-07T15:30:55","modified_gmt":"2025-10-07T10:00:55","slug":"krishi-integrated-command-and-control-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/krishi-integrated-command-and-control-centre\/","title":{"rendered":"Krishi Integrated Command and Control Centre"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About Krishi Integrated Command and Control Centre<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a\u00a0tech-based solution involving multiple IT applications and platforms, which is designed to help in making informed decisions.<\/li>\n<li>It is housed in the Ministry of Agriculture &amp; Farmers\u2019 Welfare.<\/li>\n<li>Objectives:\u00a0It will enable\u00a0comprehensive monitoring of the farm sector by making available at one place geospatial information received from multiple sources, including remote sensing; plot-level data received through soil survey and weather data from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/india-meteorological-department-imd\/\" target=\"_blank\"><u>India Meteorological Department (IMD)<\/u><\/a> etc.<\/li>\n<li>Working: It uses state of the art technologies such as artificial intelligence, remote sensing, and\u00a0Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to collect and process large amounts of granular data \u2014 on temperatures, rainfall, wind speed, crop yields and production estimations \u2014 and presents it in graphical format.<\/li>\n<li>Features of this centre\n<ul>\n<li>It\u00a0provides information on crop yields, production, drought situation, cropping patterns (geographic region-wise and year-wise) in map, timeline, and drill-down views.<\/li>\n<li>Here one can also see the relevant trends (periodic and non-periodic), outliers, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and receive insights, alerts, and feedback on agriculture schemes, programmes, projects, and initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>It uses platforms including the Krishi Decision Support System (DSS) to collect micro-level data, process it, and present the macro picture.<\/li>\n<li>It can create an ecosystem based on which\u00a0individual farmer-level advisories can be generated through apps like Kisan e-mitra, a chatbot developed for PM-Kisan beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<li>The AI-\/ machine learning-based system will identify a farmer through his\/ her mobile number or Aadhaar, and match it with the farmer\u2019s field information obtain through land records, historical crop sowing information from the crop registry, weather data from IMD, etc.<\/li>\n<li>It will then\u00a0generate a customised advisory\u00a0in the local language of the farmer. For this, the system will use the Bhashini platform that allows translation into several Indian languages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What Is Kisan e-Mitra?<\/h3>\n<p>The Ministry of Agriculture &amp; Farmers Welfare has developed Kisan e-Mitra (AI Chatbot) \u2013 Farmers\u2019 digital assistance to address the queries related to the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme (PM-KISAN) in their own languages.
