There are also scattered groups of them in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha.<\/li>\n<li>They practise <strong>jhum or shifting cultivation<\/strong> which involves clearing land by burning vegetation for farming for a few years.<\/li>\n<li>In Jharkhand, there are <strong>two types of Pahariyas.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Religious Practices<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1: Who is a Tribe?<\/h3>\n<p>A tribe is a collection of families bearing a common name, speaking a common dialect, and occupying or professing to occupy a common territory.
