style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) will be launching three new ocean information services: JellyAIIP, SAMUDRA 2.0 Mobile App, and SIVAS along with a new logo during the foundation day celebrations.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS)<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was established as an <\/span><b>autonomous body in 1999 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">under the <\/span><b>Ministry of Earth Sciences<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (MoES).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is located in<\/span><b> Hyderabad, Telangana.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Mandate:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is mandated to provide <\/span><b>ocean information and advisory services<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to society, industry, <\/span><b>government agencies and the scientific community<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through sustained ocean observations and constant improvements through systematic and focussed research.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a permanent member of <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/unescos-intergovernmental-oceanographic-commission\/\" target=\"_blank\">UNESCO&#8217;s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission<\/a> (IOC).<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It established the <\/span><b>Indian Tsunami Early Warning Centre<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (ITEWC) which provides <\/span><b>tsunami alerts <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">within 10 minutes, serving India and 28 Indian Ocean countries.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Initiatives of INCOIS:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has developed the <\/span><b>Search and Rescue Aided Tool<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SARAT) to assist the Indian Coast Guard, Navy and Coastal Security Police, in locating individuals or objects lost at sea.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">INCOIS has also established the <\/span><b>SynOPS visualization platform<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which integrates real-time data to strengthen response coordination during extreme events.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>What are JellyAIIP, SAMUDRA 2.0 Mobile App, and SIVAS?<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>JellyAIIP (Jellyfish Aggregation Information Interactive Portal): <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>national web-based platform<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for reporting and <\/span><b>visualising jellyfish aggregation,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> swarming, and stranding events along the Indian coast, with geospatial mapping, hotspot analysis, and multilingual first-aid guidance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>SAMUDRA 2.0 Mobile App:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is an <\/span><b>upgraded multilingual advisory platform<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> delivering ocean information and early warnings to fishermen and maritime users.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>SIVAS:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Swell-Surge Inundation Vulnerability Advisory System, is a <\/span><b>coastal inundation early warning service <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">designed to provide advance alerts on swell-surge flooding events, currently operational for the Kerala coast, with multilingual forecast bulletins.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a
