It includes both organic and inorganic particles such as dust, pollen, soot, smoke, and liquid droplets, which vary greatly in size, composition, and origin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Impact of Air Pollution:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Impact on Public Health: <\/strong>Particulate matter, particularly <strong>PM2.5<\/strong>, is linked to severe health issues, including <strong>cardiovascular diseases, stroke, and respiratory diseases.<\/strong> It is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/world-health-organisation\/\" target=\"_blank\">World Health Organisation (WHO)<\/a>estimates that <strong>99%<\/strong> of the global population breathes air that exceeds WHO guideline limits, with about <strong>7 million premature deaths <\/strong>annually linked to air pollution.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1. What are LEDs?<\/h3>\n<p>LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are semiconductor devices that emit light when an electric current flows through them. They are used in various applications, including electronics, lighting, medicine, and data communication.
