{"id":24050,"date":"2024-06-07T08:29:47","date_gmt":"2024-06-07T02:59:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=24050"},"modified":"2025-10-08T11:25:17","modified_gmt":"2025-10-08T05:55:17","slug":"clean-economy-investor-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/clean-economy-investor-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"Clean Economy Investor Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF):<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is an economic initiative launched by the <strong>United States President on May 23, 2022.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>IPEF has 14 members:<\/strong> Australia, Brunei, Fiji, <strong>India<\/strong>, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, United States and Vietnam.<\/li>\n<li>This framework is intended to advance resilience, sustainability, inclusiveness, economic growth, fairness, and competitiveness for member economies.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The forum seeks to go beyond traditional free trade agreements <\/strong>and work on the issues of supply chains, clean energy, decarbonisation, infrastructure, and <strong>tax and anti-corruption.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Four pillars of cooperation: <\/strong>Trade, Supply Chain, Clean Economy, and Fair Economy. <strong>India is not part of the trade pillar.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Clean Economy Investor Forum:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/indo-pacific-economic-framework-ipef\/\" target=\"_blank\">IPEF<\/a> Clean Economy Investor Forum is <strong>one of the initiatives under the IPEF.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It brings together the region&#8217;s top investors, philanthropies, financial institutions, innovative companies, startups and entrepreneurs. The forum aims to mobilise investments into sustainable infrastructure, climate technology and renewable energy projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Department of Commerce<\/strong> is the <strong>nodal agency for the IPEF engagements<\/strong>, and the IPEF Clean Economy Investor Forum is<strong> managed by Invest India<\/strong>, the country&#8217;s national investment promotion agency.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1). What is the Indo-Pacific Strategy?<\/h3>\n<p>The Indo-Pacific Strategy is a comprehensive approach by the United States to promote a free and open Indo-Pacific region. It aims to counter China&#8217;s assertiveness, advance the US relationship with India, and support India&#8217;s role as a net security provider.
