Bhindranwale and his followers fiercely resisted the army&#8217;s advance, leading to intense gun battles.<\/li>\n<li>June 3-6, 1984: The Indian Army intensified its assault on the complex, using <strong>heavy artillery, tanks, and helicopters<\/strong>.
