{"id":24351,"date":"2024-06-21T07:48:09","date_gmt":"2024-06-21T02:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=24351"},"modified":"2025-04-07T08:54:53","modified_gmt":"2025-04-07T03:24:53","slug":"trinity-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/trinity-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"What is The Trinity Challenge?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>About The Trinity Challenge (TTC)<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a <strong>charity supporting<\/strong> the <strong>creation of data-driven solutions<\/strong> to help <strong>protect against global health threats.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is a <strong>partnership of over 40 leading global organizations<\/strong> across the private, public, and social sectors.<\/li>\n<li>TC partners are united by the common aim of using data and advanced analytics to create inclusive innovations and build a world that\u2019s better prepared for health emergencies.<\/li>\n<li>To that purpose, TTC is launching, supporting, and <strong>funding public challenges.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It was <strong>launched in response to the Covid-19 pandemic<\/strong>, which highlighted a global need to be better prepared to tackle healthcare emergencies.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>initial Challenge<\/strong> asked teams to deliver data-driven <strong>solutions to predict, respond to and recover from pandemics.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>It awarded \u00a35.7 million to teams that developed innovative tools and approaches for better pandemic preparedness and response.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Following the success of the first Trinity Challenge, the <strong>second Challenge<\/strong> &#8211; The Trinity Challenge <strong>on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)<\/strong>, issues a call to the world\u2019s best and brightest minds for data-driven solutions that will protect the power of antibiotics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>IIIT-Delhi&#8217;s project &#8216;AMRSense: Empowering Communities with a Proactive One Health Ecosystem:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It was led by <strong>IIIT-Delhi,<\/strong> in collaboration with CHRI-PATH, 1mg.com, and ICMR.<\/li>\n<li>AMRSense addresses the challenges of<strong> engaging, motivating, and trainingcommunity health workers (CHWs) in AMR surveillance and management<\/strong>, compounded by the lack of a <strong>comprehensive data ecosystem<\/strong> and analytics capabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1: What is Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)?<\/h3>\n<p>Antimicrobials \u2013 including antibiotics, antivirals, antifungals and antiparasitic \u2013 are medicines used to prevent and treat infections in humans, animals and plants. Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites change over time and no longer respond to medicines making infections harder to treat and increasing the risk of disease spread, severe illness and death.
