Systems (CCTNS) performance index.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Crime and Criminal Tracking Network &amp; Systems<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was conceptualized by the <\/span><b>Ministry of Home Affairs in 2009.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims at creating a <\/span><b>comprehensive and integrated system<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for enhancing the efficiency and effective policing at all levels and especially <\/span><b>at the Police Station level<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It facilitates <\/span><b>collection, updation, and sharing of data<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> related to crime and criminals in near real time basis.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It facilitates various benefits to State\/ Union Territory Police, Central Law Enforcement Agencies and citizens of India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objectives<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Provide Citizen Centric Police Services<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> via a web portal<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Pan India search<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on National database of Crime &amp; Criminal records<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Crime and Criminal reports at State and Center<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Computerization of Police Processes<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scope of CCTNS <\/span><b>spans all <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/difference-between-state-and-union-territory\/\" target=\"_blank\">States and Union Territories<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and covers all Police Stations (15,000+ in number) and all Higher Police Offices in the country.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CCTNS project includes <\/span><b>vertical connectivity of police units<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (linking police units at various levels within the States &#8211;
