{"id":24625,"date":"2024-06-30T12:04:29","date_gmt":"2024-06-30T06:34:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=24625"},"modified":"2025-04-07T10:52:57","modified_gmt":"2025-04-07T05:22:57","slug":"national-quality-assurance-standards-nqas-assessment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-quality-assurance-standards-nqas-assessment\/","title":{"rendered":"National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) assessment"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) assessment:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It has been launched for <strong>Ayushman Arogya Mandirs<\/strong> (AAM) and <strong>Integrated Public Health Laboratories<\/strong> (IPHL) in compliance with IPHS standards.\n<ul>\n<li>IPHS is a <strong>digital platform<\/strong> for real-time monitoring of public health facilities that provides a comprehensive overview of the assessment and compliance status of public health facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>What is Spot Food Licence Initiative?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is for the <strong>instant issuance of licenses<\/strong> and registrations through the pan-India IT platform designed to address all food safety regulatory needs i.e <strong>Food Safety and Compliance System (FoSCoS).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>This new provision supplements the existing procedures for applying and obtaining licenses and registrations as prescribed under the <strong>Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulation, 2011<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>Instant issuance of licenses without the intervention of a licensing authority will be available for select categories such as <strong>wholesalers, distributors, retailers, transporters<\/strong>, storage without atmospheric control + cold, importers, food vending agencies, direct sellers and merchant-exporters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>This scheme will not apply to businesses involved in <strong>high-risk food categories like milk, meat and fish.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>What are Ayushman Arogya Mandirs?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>These have been established and operationalized to provide comprehensive, <strong>accessible healthcare services for all citizens.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>These are led by <strong>Community Health Officers<\/strong>, the primary healthcare teams at AAM are trained to manage <strong>initial care, triage, and refer patients<\/strong> to appropriate facilities for further treatment.<\/li>\n<li>This approach reduces the burden on secondary and tertiary care facilities by providing primary care services closer to the community with adequate referral linkages.<\/li>\n<li>The early identification and management of health issues help prevent disease progression, necessitating advanced care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1: What is the Food Safety and Compliance System?<\/h3>\n<p>It is an enhanced version of the Food Licensing and Registration System (FLRS) which was launched in 2012 for the issuance of pan-India FSSAI Licenses and Registration.
