{"id":25636,"date":"2024-08-06T07:16:46","date_gmt":"2024-08-06T01:46:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=25636"},"modified":"2025-04-07T19:25:15","modified_gmt":"2025-04-07T13:55:15","slug":"commemorative-stamps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/commemorative-stamps\/","title":{"rendered":"Commemorative Stamps"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Commemorative Stamps:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Commemorative stamps are issued commemorating\u00a0<strong>important events<\/strong>, prominent personalities in various fields, aspects of nature, beautiful or rare flora and fauna, environmental issues,\u00a0<strong>agricultural activities,<\/strong>\u00a0national\/international issues,\u00a0<strong>games<\/strong>\u00a0etc.<\/li>\n<li>These stamps are\u00a0<strong>only available at Philatelic Bureaux<\/strong>\u00a0and counters or under the Philatelic Deposit Account Scheme.<\/li>\n<li>They are printed in\u00a0<strong>limited quantities.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Some of the rules for issuing Commemorative Postage Stamps\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Proposals for issue<\/strong>\u00a0of Commemorative Postage Stamps may be sent by\u00a0<strong>any citizen of India.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Stamps shall be issued only on the apex institution\/organization, on its\u00a0<strong>100th \/125th \/150th anniversary\u00a0<\/strong>and not on the branches of any institution or organization.<\/li>\n<li>The institution\/organization should have national or international stature with significant and well recognised contribution in their respective fields.<\/li>\n<li><strong>No stamp<\/strong>\u00a0will be issued on a\u00a0<strong>living personality<\/strong>. The personalities on whom commemorative postage stamp may be issued should be of national or international importance.<\/li>\n<li>The occasion to be commemorated must be the birth centenary or 10th \/25th \/50th \/100th death anniversary.
