{"id":25815,"date":"2026-04-05T13:27:37","date_gmt":"2026-04-05T07:57:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=25815"},"modified":"2026-04-05T16:33:49","modified_gmt":"2026-04-05T11:03:49","slug":"jiyo-parsi-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/jiyo-parsi-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Jiyo Parsi Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Jiyo Parsi Scheme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Universal Parsi Registration Drive special facilitation camp, organised by the Ministry of Minority Affairs and around 300 fresh registrations were completed on the Jiyo Parsi portal of\u00a0 Jiyo Parsi Scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Jiyo Parsi Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jiyo Parsi is a <\/span><b>flagship Central Sector Scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Government of India aimed at arresting the <\/span><b>declining population of the Parsi community.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was <\/span><b>launched in 2013-14 and<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> seeks to stabilise and increase the Parsi population through structured interventions and scientific support.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scheme provides:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Medical Assistance for fertility<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> treatment and pregnancy-related care<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Health of Community support<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> including financial assistance for childcare and care of dependent elderly<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Advocacy initiatives<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> such as counselling, awareness campaigns, and outreach programmes<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Scheme will be implemented through <\/span><b>the State Governments<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the assistance of respective Parsi Institutions.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eligible Parsi couples would be provided financial assistance under the various components of the schemes through <\/span><b>Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The State Governments would get the necessary verification, including biometric authentication of all beneficiaries done.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Nodal Ministry: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ministry of Minority Affairs<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2248929&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jiyo Parsi Scheme: Central Sector initiative to address the declining Parsi population in India through targeted support and awareness measures.
