It\u2019s thought to be the result of a\u00a0<strong>mix of genetic, hormonal, and environmental factors.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Lupus is much more\u00a0<strong>common among women<\/strong>\u00a0than men.<\/li>\n<li>There are\u00a0<strong>several kinds<\/strong>\u00a0of lupus:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)<\/strong>\u00a0is the\u00a0<strong>most common<\/strong>\u00a0type. It can be mild or severe and can affect many parts of the body.
