{"id":25852,"date":"2024-08-16T06:16:50","date_gmt":"2024-08-16T00:46:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=25852"},"modified":"2025-04-07T21:40:18","modified_gmt":"2025-04-07T16:10:18","slug":"prerana-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/prerana-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Prerana Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Prerana Programme:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It was launched in\u00a0<strong>January 2024 by the Union Education Ministry.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is driven by a strong commitment to integrate principles of the Indian education system and the philosophy of value-based education which is a\u00a0<strong>cornerstone of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Prerana is a\u00a0<strong>week-long residential program for selected students of class IX to XII.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is an experiential and inspirational learning program for students with the\u00a0<strong>best-in-class technology where heritage meets innovation.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>batch of 20 selected students (10 boys and 10 girls)<\/strong>\u00a0attend the program every week from various parts of the country.<\/li>\n<li>Prerana program is running from a\u00a0<strong>Vernacular School, established in 1888 in Vadnagar, Mehsana District, Gujarat.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The curriculum of Prerana School prepared by IIT Gandhi Nagar is rooted\u00a0<strong>in 9 value based themes:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Swabhiman and Vinay, Shaurya and Sahas, Parishram and Samarpan, Karuna and Sewa, Vividhta and Ekta, Satyanishtha and Shuchita, Navachar and Jigyasa, Shraddha aur Vishwas, Swatantrata and Kartavya.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The program based on above themes will inspire the youth and foster respect for Bharat&#8217;s unity in diversity, embodying the spirit of &#8220;Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1: What are the aims of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020?<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/quest-upsc-notes\/national-education-policy-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">National Education Policy (NEP)<\/a> aims to revolutionise education in India by bringing comprehensive reforms.
