{"id":25925,"date":"2024-08-19T08:07:59","date_gmt":"2024-08-19T02:37:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=25925"},"modified":"2025-04-07T22:13:28","modified_gmt":"2025-04-07T16:43:28","slug":"rise-accelerator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/rise-accelerator\/","title":{"rendered":"RISE Accelerator"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About RISE Accelerator:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The India Australia\u00a0<strong>Rapid Innovation and Start-up Expansion<\/strong>\u00a0(RISE) Accelerator is a bilateral program led by CSIRO and the\u00a0<strong>Atal Innovation Mission<\/strong>\u00a0(AIM), NITI Aayog.<\/li>\n<li>It addresses India and Australia\u2019s shared challenges with a focus on\u00a0<strong>environment and climate issues<\/strong>\u00a0by supporting the expansion\u00a0<strong>of innovative agritech solutions<\/strong>\u00a0across borders.<\/li>\n<li>It was\u00a0<strong>launched in 2023<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; has been instrumental in supporting start-ups and MSMEs in validating, adapting, and piloting their technologies for new markets.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Rapid Innovation and Start-up Expansion<\/strong>\u00a0(RISE)\u00a0<strong>Accelerator<\/strong>\u00a0programme is designed to support businesses aiming for international expansion between India and Australia.<\/li>\n<li>This marks a significant milestone in fostering innovations that address India and Australia\u2019s most pressing shared challenges in the agriculture sector.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Climate Smart Agritech cohort<\/strong>\u00a0of the RISE Accelerator will focus on\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Start-ups and MSMEs<\/strong>\u00a0with technologies and solutions that enhance agricultural productivity and resilience in the face of growing climate variability, resource scarcity and food insecurity.<\/li>\n<li>The program is particularly interested in start-ups and MSMEs with solutions that\u00a0<strong>prioritise farmer needs<\/strong>, priorities, and on-farm practices.\u202f<\/li>\n<li>Over the course of the\u00a0<strong>nine months of the accelerator program<\/strong>, the selected start-ups and MSMEs will benefit from a blend of self-paced online learning and in-person sessions, including immersion weeks in both India and Australia.<\/li>\n<li>The program will also involve field trials and technology pilot in the latter half.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1: What is Atal Innovation Mission?<\/h3>\n<p>It is the Government of India&#8217;s flagship initiative to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country and was set up in 2016.
