Warm, moist air rises from the ocean surface, creating a low-pressure area.\n<ul>\n<li>Surrounding higher-pressure air moves towards this low-pressure zone, causing the air to warm up and rise further. As the rising air cools, it forms clouds.<\/li>\n<li>This system of spinning clouds and wind intensifies with the ocean\u2019s heat. As wind speeds increase, an eye forms at the centre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Characteristics of a Tropical Cyclone:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Calm centre:<\/strong> The cyclone\u2019s centre is typically calm and clear, with very low air pressure.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Speed:<\/strong> The average wind speed is around 120 km\/h.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Closed isobars:<\/strong> These cyclones have closed isobars, leading to higher wind velocities.
