style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>India\u2019s fourth-largest river <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by water inflows and basin area after the<\/span><b> Ganga, Godavari, and Brahmaputra<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It stretches approximately<\/span><b> 1400 km.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Course:\u00a0<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The river <\/span><b>rises <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in<\/span><b> western Maharashtra<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> state in the<\/span><a 400;\">The Krishna River Basin extends over an area of about 258,948 sq.km., which is nearly 8 percent of the total geographical area of the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: the<\/span><b> Eastern Ghats<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on the <\/span><b>south <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and the east, and by the <\/span><b>Western Ghats on the 400;\">joining Krishna are the <\/span><b>Ghataprabha<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the <\/span><b>Malaprabha<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the <\/span><b>Bhima,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the <\/span><b>Tungabhadra<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the <\/span><b>Musi<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align:
