It is called the Siddha medical system because of this.<\/li>\n<li>Siddhars were <strong>spiritual masters<\/strong> who had the <strong>eight special abilities called siddhis<\/strong>. <strong>Some<\/strong> of the 18 Siddhars <strong>were Nandi, Agasthyar, Agappai<\/strong>, Pumbatti, etc.<\/li>\n<li>The Siddha medical system is thought to have been <strong>started by Agastyar,<\/strong> who is also <strong>known as Agasthya.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Siddhars in rural India have traditionally learned their craft from elders in their communities.<\/li>\n<li>The Siddha system is based on a <strong>combination of ancient medicinal practices and spiritual disciplines,<\/strong> as well as <strong>alchemy and mysticism<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The Siddha medicinal system not only focuses on treating the disease, but it <strong>also takes into account<\/strong> the patient\u2019s <strong>behaviour, environmental aspects, age,<\/strong> habits, and physical condition.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>It is based on <strong>principles of panchamahabhootam<\/strong> (five basic elements), 96 thathuvas (principles), mukkuttram (3 humours), and 6 arusuvai (6 tastes).\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Soil, fire, water, sky, and air<\/strong> are the <strong>five elements<\/strong> that <strong>Siddha practitioners believe<\/strong> can be found in everything from food to the \u201chumour\u201d of the human body to herbal, animal, and inorganic chemical substance sulphur and mercury.<\/li>\n<li>These <strong>have therapeutic potential<\/strong> and can be employed in the treatment of many illnesses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Q1<\/strong>: What is anemia?<\/h3>\n<p>Anemia is a problem of not having enough healthy red blood cells or hemoglobin to carry oxygen to the body&#8217;s tissues. Hemoglobin is a protein found in red cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to all other organs in the body.
