{"id":26668,"date":"2024-09-18T10:31:34","date_gmt":"2024-09-18T05:01:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=26668"},"modified":"2025-10-14T12:09:31","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T06:39:31","slug":"subhadra-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/subhadra-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"SUBHADRA Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About SUBHADRA Scheme:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is named after Goddess Subhadra, the younger sibling of Lord Jagannath, the presiding deity of Odisha.<\/li>\n<li>All eligible women beneficiaries between the <strong>age of 21-60 years<\/strong> would receive <strong>Rs. 50,000\/- over a period of 5 years<\/strong> between 2024-25 to 2028-29.<\/li>\n<li>An amount of <strong>Rs 10,000\/- per annum<\/strong> in two equal installments will be credited directly to the beneficiary\u2019s Aadhaar-enabled and DBT-enabled bank account.<\/li>\n<li><strong>How will it work?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The money will be deposited directly into the beneficiary\u2019s Aadhaar-enabled single-holder bank account.<\/li>\n<li>The government has made e-KYC mandatory for the scheme. A <strong>Subhadra Debit Card <\/strong>will be issued to the beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<li>A total 100 beneficiaries with the highest number of digital transactions in each gram panchayat and urban local body area will receive an additional incentive of Rs 500.<\/li>\n<li>Women from economically well-off families, government employees, and income-tax payees will not be eligible for the scheme.<\/li>\n<li>Women who receive assistance of Rs 1,500 or more per month (or Rs 18,000 or more per year) under any other government scheme will also be excluded.<\/li>\n<li>There is no last date to register; the process will continue until all eligible beneficiaries have been registered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1: What is e-KYC?<\/h3>\n<p>The e-KYC (Know Your Customer) is a comprehensive process that financial and non-financial institutions follow to verify the authenticity and identity of their customers.
