{"id":26735,"date":"2024-09-21T10:39:27","date_gmt":"2024-09-21T05:09:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=26735"},"modified":"2025-04-08T04:20:57","modified_gmt":"2025-04-07T22:50:57","slug":"inspire-manak-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/inspire-manak-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"INSPIRE \u2013 MANAK Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About INSPIRE \u2013 MANAK Programme:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The INSPIRE \u2013 MANAK (<strong>Million Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge<\/strong>) is one of the flagship schemes of the Department<strong> of Science and Technology<\/strong> (DST), Govt. of India.<\/li>\n<li>It is for nurturing ideas and innovations of <strong>school students<\/strong> and motivates them to pursue science and a career in research.<\/li>\n<li>It is jointly implemented by <strong>DST and the National Innovation Foundation (NIF)<\/strong> \u2013 India.<\/li>\n<li>It aims to motivate students in the <strong>age group of 10-15 years<\/strong> and studying in classes 6 to 10 to become future innovators and critical thinkers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Significance:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>It believes that once the original ideas and innovations rooted in Science and Technology by students get incubated, it will <strong>foster a culture of creativity<\/strong> and innovative thinking among school children.<\/li>\n<li>This will help <strong>address the societal needs<\/strong> through science and technology and nurture them to become sensitive and responsible citizens and innovation leaders of tomorrow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What is the National Innovation Foundation?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It was set up in March 2000 with the <strong>assistance of the Department of Science and Technology<\/strong>, Government of India.<\/li>\n<li>It is India&#8217;s national initiative to strengthen the grassroots technological innovations and outstanding traditional knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>Its mission is to help <strong>India become a creative and knowledge-based society<\/strong> by expanding policy and institutional space for grassroots technological innovators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1: What is Innovation?<\/h3>\n<p>It is defined as the process of bringing about new ideas, methods, products, services that have a significant positive impact and value.
