(The Barak Valley also houses the <strong>Borail Wildlife Sanctuary<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>It is nestled between the <strong>Barak and Sonai rivers.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is named after the second-largest river in the northeast and is spread across three districts \u2013 Cachar, Hailakandi and Karimganj.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fauna:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>It serves as a critical habitat for a diverse range of wildlife.<\/li>\n<li>Eight primate species, including the <strong>slow loris, rhesus macaque, and hoolock gibbon<\/strong>, find refuge here.
