{"id":27144,"date":"2024-10-08T05:07:50","date_gmt":"2024-10-07T23:37:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=27144"},"modified":"2025-04-08T07:26:25","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T01:56:25","slug":"unified-genomic-chip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/unified-genomic-chip\/","title":{"rendered":"Unified Genomic Chip"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Unified Genomic Chip:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It aimed at helping <strong>farmers identify high-quality cattle<\/strong> early and enhance dairy farming efficiency in India.<\/li>\n<li>The chip comes in <strong>two versions<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The \u2018<strong>Gau Chip\u2019<\/strong> for cattle and the \u2018<strong>Mahish Chip\u2019<\/strong> for buffalo.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>It is developed by the <strong>Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying<\/strong> (DAHD), under the Ministry of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Purpose:<\/strong> The purpose of this chip is to help the farmers to make informed decisions on animal selection by identifying young, high-quality bulls at an early age.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Benefit:<\/strong> The chip is <strong>tailored for Indian cattle breeds<\/strong> and will help improve the quality of cattle and enhance the dairy farming sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key points about the Sex Sorted Semen Technology<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sex Sorted Semen is the &#8216;gender selected&#8217;
