{"id":27510,"date":"2025-07-19T12:51:56","date_gmt":"2025-07-19T07:21:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=27510"},"modified":"2025-07-19T15:24:43","modified_gmt":"2025-07-19T09:54:43","slug":"exercise-simbex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/exercise-simbex\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise SIMBEX"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Exercise SIMBEX Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Indian Navy will participate in the 32nd edition of exercise SIMBEX as part of its engagement with the Singapore Navy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Exercise SIMBEX<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Singapore India Maritime Bilateral Exercise<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SIMBEX) is <\/span><b>conducted annually<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by the Indian Navy and the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Background:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> SIMBEX, which <\/span><b>began as &#8216;Exercise Lion King&#8217; in 1994<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, has since evolved into one of the most significant bilateral maritime collaborations between the Indian Navy and the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It holds the distinction of being the longest continuous naval exercise that the Indian Navy has with any other country.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The exercise supports India\u2019s Vision <\/span><b>SAGAR and Act East policy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, focused on regional cooperation and maritime security.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The entire Indian Navy contingent comprising <\/span><b>INS Delhi, Satpura, Shakti and Kiltan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will participate in the exercise.
