{"id":27681,"date":"2026-04-04T14:42:44","date_gmt":"2026-04-04T09:12:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=27681"},"modified":"2026-04-04T14:49:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T09:19:12","slug":"namo-drone-didi-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/namo-drone-didi-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Namo Drone Didi Yojana"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Namo Drone Didi Yojana Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Karnataka has the most number of women self-help groups (SHGs) to have undergone training as drone pilots under the \u2018Namo Drone Didi Yojana\u2019 (NDDY).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Namo Drone Didi Yojana<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a central sector initiative to empower <\/span><b>women-led Self-Help Groups<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SHGs) promoted under <\/span><b>Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana \u2013 National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by providing them with <\/span><b>drone technology for agricultural services.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to provide drones to selected SHGs for rental services to <\/span><b>farmers for agriculture purposes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (application of liquid fertilizers and pesticides for the present).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Target:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A total of <\/span><b>15,000 drones will be provided<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to selected women SHGs between <\/span><b>2024-25 and 2025-26.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Financial Assistance:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Central Financial Assistance <\/span><b>@ 80% of the cost<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of drone package up to a <\/span><b>maximum of Rs. 8.00 lakhs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be provided to the women SHGs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the remaining 20% cost, SHGs can seek loans from the <\/span><b>National Agriculture Infrastructure Financing Facility (AIF)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a 3% interest subvention.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Training:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> One of the members of the <\/span><b>women SHGs will be selected for 15 day<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> training consisting of mandatory drone pilot training and additional training for agriculture purpose for nutrient and pesticide application.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is implemented by converging the resources of<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Department\u00a0 of Agriculture &amp;
