{"id":27887,"date":"2024-11-12T08:45:14","date_gmt":"2024-11-12T03:15:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=27887"},"modified":"2025-10-11T12:21:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-11T06:51:09","slug":"exercise-antariksha-abhyas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/exercise-antariksha-abhyas\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise Antariksha Abhyas"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Exercise Antariksha Abhyas:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is an exercise to war-game the growing threats from and to <strong>Space Based Assets and Services<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is being conducted by the <strong>Defence Space Agency<\/strong> of Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff<\/li>\n<li>It is a first of its kind exercise being conducted and is expected to help <strong>secure national strategic objectives in space <\/strong>and integrate India\u2019s space capability in military operations.<\/li>\n<li>It aims to provide enhanced understanding of <strong>space based assets and services<\/strong> and to gain understanding of operational dependency on space segment between stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>In addition, it intends to identify vulnerabilities in conduct of operations in the event of denial or disruptions of space based services.<\/li>\n<li>It will have <strong>participants from the Defence Space Agency<\/strong> and its allied units along with personnel from the Army, Navy and the Air Force. Specialist branches under Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff viz Defence Cyber Agency, Defence Intelligence Agency and Strategic Forces Command would also be active participants in conduct of the exercise.<\/li>\n<li>Representatives from Indian Space Research Organisation and the Defence Research &amp; Development Organisation will also take part in it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1: What is the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)?<\/h3>\n<p>Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is the space agency of India, responsible for the planning and execution of space-related activities in the country.
