{"id":27935,"date":"2024-11-10T10:18:32","date_gmt":"2024-11-10T04:48:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=27935"},"modified":"2025-04-08T15:30:05","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T10:00:05","slug":"qs-world-university-rankings-asia-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/qs-world-university-rankings-asia-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"QS World University Rankings: Asia 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About QS World University Rankings: Asia 2025:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It has been published annually <strong>since 2009 by <\/strong>Quacquarelli Symonds,<strong> which <\/strong>highlights the top universities in Asia each year.<\/li>\n<li>The methodology used to create the ranking is similar to that used for the QS World University Rankings, but with some additional indicators and adapted weightings.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>11 indicators used<\/strong> to compile the QS Asia University Rankings are\n<ul>\n<li>academic reputation (30%), Employer reputation (20%), Faculty\/student ratio (10%), International research network (10%), Citations per paper (10%) and papers per faculty (5%), Staff with a PhD (5%), Proportion of inbound exchange students (2.5%) and proportion of outbound exchange students (2.5%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Highlights<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>This ranking assesses 984 institutions covering 25 countries in <strong>Eastern, Southern, South-Eastern and Central Asia.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Peking University<\/strong> retains the top spot, The University of Hong Kong the second, with the National University of Singapore confirmed in third.<\/li>\n<li>India boasts two institutions within the top 50 and seven in the top 100 of the QS Asia Rankings 2025, with the <strong>Indian Institute of Technology Delhi<\/strong> (IITD) leading at 44th place.<\/li>\n<li>The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) achieved the most significant improvement among Indian institutions, climbing 70 spots to 148th.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1:What is All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)?<\/h3>\n<p>It is the statutory body and the national-level council for technical education in the country.
