text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a<\/span><b> monsoon-fed, west-flowing river.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Course<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is about <\/span><b>371 km<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in length. <\/span><b>In Gujarat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the river extends to a length of about <\/span><b>323 km, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">while in <\/span><b>Rajasthan <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the river has a length of about<\/span><b> 48 km.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Sabarmati basin extends over an area of 21,674 sq.km with a maximum length and width of 300 km and 150 km.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>basin <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is <\/span><b>bounded by Aravalli hills<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on the north and north-east, by the <\/span><b>Rann of Kutch<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on the west, and by<\/span><b> the Gulf of Khambhat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on the south.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The major part of the basin is covered with <\/span><b>agriculture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, accounting for <\/span><b>74.68% of the total area.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>banks <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the Sabarmati River <\/span><b>have Indian cities like Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;
