{"id":28147,"date":"2025-08-13T10:16:36","date_gmt":"2025-08-13T04:46:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=28147"},"modified":"2025-08-13T17:24:43","modified_gmt":"2025-08-13T11:54:43","slug":"bhu-neer-portal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/bhu-neer-portal\/","title":{"rendered":"BHU-NEER Portal"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>BHU-NEER Portal Latest News<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Recently, the minister of state for Jal Shakti informed the Lok Sabha about BHU-NEER Portal.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>About BHU-NEER Portal<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">It is new state of the art portal which has been rolled out in 2024 by <strong>the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA)<\/strong> under the Ministry of Jal Shakti,<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><strong>Purpose:<\/strong> To provide a smooth and <strong>efficient mechanism for regulation of ground water developmen<\/strong>t and management in the country by providing a quick and easy to use platform for filing No Objection Certificate (NOC) applications for ground water abstraction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Features of BHU-NEER Portal<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Its c<strong>entralized database<\/strong> will allow users to access critical information on groundwater compliance, policies, and sustainable practices.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">The portal is developed with several user-friendly features to offer streamlined process flow to the project proponents seeking groundwater withdrawal permits.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Having a simplified yet informative interface, and features like <strong>PAN based single Id system<\/strong>, NOC with QR code etc., \u201cBhu-Neer\u201d marks a significant improvement over its previous version NOCAP.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><strong>No Objection Certificate:<\/strong> The Bhu-Neer portal is for the purpose of online application and processing of NOC for extraction of ground water by industries, infrastructure projects and mining projects<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><strong>Significance:<\/strong> By helping in enforcement of the Guidelines meant for curbing indiscriminate extraction of ground water, the Bhu-Neer contributes to sustainable development and management of ground water resources in the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Source:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2153575\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bhu-Neer Portal is an advanced portal developed by Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA), under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
