{"id":28428,"date":"2022-11-08T09:19:16","date_gmt":"2022-11-08T03:49:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=28428"},"modified":"2025-11-10T16:45:00","modified_gmt":"2025-11-10T11:15:00","slug":"nazca-lines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/nazca-lines\/","title":{"rendered":"Nazca Lines"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Nazca Lines:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Nazca Lines are a <strong>group of geoglyphs,<\/strong> or large designs made on the ground by creators using elements of the landscape such as stones, gravel, dirt or lumber.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> These are located in the <strong>arid Peruvian coastal plain<\/strong>, some 400 km south of Lima.<\/li>\n<li>The Nazca Lines were discovered by hikers in the mid 1920s and later on Peruvian archaeologist <strong>Toribio Mejia Xesspe<\/strong> studied them systematically in 1926.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>These are believed to be the greatest known archaeological enigma, owing to their size, continuity, nature and quality.<\/li>\n<li>They depict creatures from both the <strong>natural world and the human imagination.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>qThey include animals such as the spider, hummingbird, monkey, lizard, pelican and even a killer whale.
