


{"id":28624,"date":"2024-12-11T03:17:18","date_gmt":"2024-12-10T21:47:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=28624"},"modified":"2025-04-08T20:48:52","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T15:18:52","slug":"india-skills-report-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/india-skills-report-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"India Skills Report 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About India Skills Report 2025:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is prepared by the industry body <strong>Confederation of Indian Industries (CII)<\/strong> in collaboration with <strong>Wheebox (a talent assessment agency) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It is based on data from over 6.5 lakh candidates who participated in the Global Employability Test (G.E.T.) across India, alongside insights from over 1,000 corporations across 15 diverse industries.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Highlights of the Report:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Nearly <strong>55 percent of Indian graduates<\/strong> are expected to be<strong> globally employable in 2025,<\/strong> up from 51.2 percent in 2024 (<strong>a seven percent increase<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>It notes that <strong>management graduates<\/strong> (78 percent) have <strong>highest global employability, followed by engineering students<\/strong> (71.5 percent), <strong>MCA students<\/strong> (71 percent) and <strong>science graduates<\/strong> (58 percent).<\/li>\n<li>States like <strong>Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Delhi<\/strong> are emerging as <strong>major hubs for employable talent,<\/strong> while cities such as <strong>Pune, Bengaluru and Mumbai are leading<\/strong> the way <strong>in providing a skilled workforce<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Gender analysis shows that the <strong>employability rate for men is<\/strong> expected to <strong>rise to53.5 percent in 2025 <\/strong>from 51.8 percent in 2024.<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile, for <strong>women,<\/strong> the <strong>employability rate<\/strong> is projected <strong>to decline to 47.5 percent<\/strong> from 50.9 percent during the same time period.<\/li>\n<li>In 2025, 50 percent of secondary and tertiary students are expected to receive vocational training, further positioning India as a key player in the global talent market.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The report further stresses the importance of integrating vocational training with industry needs, particularly in emerging sectors such as AI, cybersecurity, and green energy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Q1<\/strong>: What is the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII)?<\/h3>\n<p>CII is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry led and industry managed organisation, playing a proactive role in India\u2019s development process.
