These Schedules give a different standard of protection.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Listed breeds and types of animals in <strong>Schedule I and part II of Schedule II<\/strong> get <strong>supreme protection<\/strong>. Offences under these are prescribed the highest penalties.<\/li>\n<li>For example Himalayan Brown Bear, Indian Elephant etc.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The Listed breeds and types of animals <strong>in Schedule III and Schedule IV<\/strong> are also secured, but the <strong>penalties are comparatively much lower<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>For example, Barking Deer, Falcons, Kingfisher, Tortoise etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Schedule V<\/strong> includes the animals which can be hunted.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>For example, Common Crow, Mice, Rats, Fruit Bats etc.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>plants, trees and crops mentioned in Schedule VI<\/strong> are banned from Cultivation and Planting.
