{"id":28809,"date":"2024-12-17T01:25:12","date_gmt":"2024-12-16T19:55:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=28809"},"modified":"2025-04-08T22:16:47","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T16:46:47","slug":"credit-guarantee-scheme-for-e-nwr-based-pledge-financing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/credit-guarantee-scheme-for-e-nwr-based-pledge-financing\/","title":{"rendered":"Credit Guarantee Scheme for e-NWR based pledge Financing"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Credit Guarantee Scheme for e-NWR based pledge Financing:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It aims to provide credit facilities to small farmers to prevent them from <strong>distress selling.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It provides a corpus of <strong>Rs 1,000-crore for post-harvest finance<\/strong> availed by farmers against <strong>electronic negotiable warehouse receipts<\/strong> (e-NWRs) after depositing commodities in <strong>Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority<\/strong> (WDRA) accredited warehouses.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Coverage:<\/strong> Loans up to <strong>Rs. 75 lakhs for agricultural purpose<\/strong> and Loans up to Rs. 200 Lakhs for nonagricultural purpose.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eligible Institutions:<\/strong> All scheduled banks and all cooperative banks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eligible Borrowers:<\/strong> Small and Marginal Farmer (SMF)\/ Women\/SC\/ST\/PwD Farmers, other farmers, MSMEs, Traders, FPOs and Farmer cooperatives.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Risks covered:<\/strong> Credit and warehouseman risk<\/li>\n<li><strong>Guarantee coverage:<\/strong> 85% for loans up to Rs. 3L and 80% for loan between 3 to 75 lakhs for small and marginal farmers\/women\/SC\/ST\/PwD and 75% for other borrowers.<\/li>\n<li>The credit guarantee schemes are expected to <strong>enhance the availability and accessibility of finances<\/strong> for the targeted beneficiaries, as they play an important role in economic growth.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>It will serve to increase post-harvest lending against e-NWRs and thereby, play a significant role in improving farmers\u2019 income.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1: What is Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA)?<\/h3>\n<p>WDRA was constituted in 2010 under the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, of 2007.
