{"id":29050,"date":"2024-12-28T12:40:36","date_gmt":"2024-12-28T07:10:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=29050"},"modified":"2025-04-09T00:08:06","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T18:38:06","slug":"national-rainfed-area-authority","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-rainfed-area-authority\/","title":{"rendered":"National Rainfed Area Authority"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About National Rainfed Area Authority:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is an expert body to provide the much-needed knowledge inputs <strong>regarding systematic up-gradation and management <\/strong>of the country&#8217;s <strong>dry land and rainfed agriculture.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It was established in 2006.<\/li>\n<li>The NRAA has a two tier structure.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Governing Board<\/strong>: It provides necessary leadership and appropriate coordination in implementation of programmes.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The Governing Board is chaired by <strong>Union Agriculture Minister<\/strong> and co-chaired by Union Minister of Rural Development.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Executive Committee<\/strong>: It consists of technical experts and representatives from stakeholder Ministries.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The Executive Committee would be headed by a full time Chief Executive Officer who should be a recognized expert on the subject.<\/li>\n<li>The CEO will be supported by five full-time technical experts.
